As far as the whistling station, which once again is? bad ass!, something is telling me that it is not Lionel, it is a Marx toy train whistling shack, which Marx was a toy company that was big at the time, which I'm not really educated about so much, but I think they were part of Lionel, or another version.

Thanks a lot for uplolading this. I got my 2 year old a vintage/postwar set for his birthday and he plays with it everyday. The trains he has to be supervised with unless it has a lot of weight behind it as they are to fast but the handcars he can do all on his own. Do? you know of a slower/under powered engine he might beable to use easily?

The log loader and mill are on his wishlist now. He has the milkcar, which is a lot of? fun for him and we just ordered the Lionel whistle 48w station today along with the brakeman car and operating box car. FYI, you don't technically have? the 145 hooked up correctly. The light should remain on when the door opens. Nice video though.
